MAKING A PURCHASE
Orders are accepted worldwide. All transactions will accordingly be converted by your credit card company from British Pounds to your appropriate currency.
RETURNS POLICY
All Damaged goods must be reported by mail or phone within 24 hours of you receiving your order with your order details. Customer Services will then advise you of further action accordingly.
We are unable to accept any returns of books, cassettes, dvds and software due to the nature of the product. These products can be exchanged for identical items only in the instance that they are damaged and the manufacturer authorises their return. Theory Test books, Highway codes, Language Learning material and Children's names books are not returnable or refundable. Any returns must be cleared with customer services before any goods are to be sent back. Customer Services will in turn advice in relation to further action. All goods are returned at the customers own expense.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
The Book Centre offers a 7 day 'cooling off' period within which goods can be returned for a full refund. This excludes products mentioned in the 'Returns Policy' section. Goods must be in perfect saleable condition which will ultimately be determined by us on return. Any return must be cleared with Customer Services first and they will advise of further action accordingly. Any refund will exclude delivery charges. Goods must be returned at the customers own expense.
The Book Centre does not disclose buyer's information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details including credit card details.
CREDIT CARD SECURITY
At BookCentre.co.uk we utilise the industry-standard Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all your personal information including debit or credit card number, name and address. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet. You fill in payment details at our secure checkout, and then the info is encrypted and sent over our secure server. Look out for the golden padlock in your menu bar.
Or you can pay by cheque or postal orders by sending your order direct to The Book Centre with the appropriate order information. For this option choose to pay by cheque at checkout. You may also ring through your credit card details. For this option please choose to pay by cheque at the checkout and have all your order details present when calling.

TAX CHARGES
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable). You pay the price of the product plus delivery charges only.
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
A variety of delivery options will be provided to you at the checkout stage. Where delivery charges exceed that which you have chosen you will be advised via e-mail about any excess charge in relation to Royal Mail, Securicor, and DHL delivery schedules before payment is taken.
DELIVERY SCHEDULE
We will endeavour to dispatch all orders within 24 hours. Where there is a delay you will be contacted via e-mail.
BACK ORDERS
We will keep you informed at all stages of any delay in the dispatch of a product. All contact will be via e-mail although we will quite happily contact you via land line at your request where applicable.
